Last night, on an obscure Freeview Channel, Talking Pictures TV, I watched;
Carrington VC [David Niven] 1954
Villain [Richard Burton] 1971

Not sure what viewing figures the channel gets, but it seems to have a number of devotees. They do show some great stuff; even if the films aren't alway top notch, they offer interesting looks at British history. Watched a bit of Saturday Night, Sunday Morning yesterday.

Scent of a Woman 1992 (7/10)

I had never seen this before and was vaguely aware of what it was about e.g Al Pacino has a young college student help him for a summer, although it was a posh high school student and it was only 3/4 days work -Thanksgiving - rather than the summer.

I enjoyed it. It came on TV, at the right time, after a day of hiking, kayaking, and chilling. I was half expecting the ''SHE'S GOT A GREAT ASS!" soundboard clip of Pacino to be in this, but that must be in Heat. A good flick, and young Phillip S Hoffman as he is titled looks incredibly like what I imagine Durham must have looked like when younger.
