The Seven Five looks interesting and Lash's post from part 2 remains unanswered:
lasharoo wrote:Not strictly the correct thread for this but whatever, has anyone got a clue where I could find Law and Order (not the crap modern one, the 1978 four part series written by G.F.Newman) online? I can't find it anywhere, I think the beeb repeated it a year or two ago but I keep coming up blank and I've run out of ideas.
Lash. Can't find it to watch online but only a fiver or so from Amazon ain't a lot of coin: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Law-Order-BBC-1 ... B0015083MQ Looks quite interesting, might purchase myself.

I agree with Notin, Frailty is a classic. It is exceptionally creepy.

Sorry, Mini. :( Here is your question from part 2. Had a brief look around on phone and couldn't see anything either:

wentokradio wrote:I watched this intriguing little documentary on Netflix. IMDB gives away the general crux of it here:

"'Off Day' features a quest on director Oliver Maitland's part to uncover the truth behind an Irish road accident in 1987 involving Hollywood actors Matthew Broderick and Jennifer Gray. The August, 1987 crash took place near Enniskillen and cost the lives of mother and daughter Margaret Doherty and Ann Gallagher.
Maitland finds decades' old resentment and anger in the town against a Hollywood machine that swept in to the area and all but covered up what truly happened.
In an investigation taking him from Ireland to Hollywood, Maitland finds more conundrums in and around beloved cult actor Broderick and the showbiz dynasty that sheltered him."
Can you post a link I can't find this on Netflix or mentioned on IMDb or anywhere else for that matter :x

Going Clear 8/10

Documentary about Scientology. 2hrs long, but very interesting. I knew basically nothing of this 'spirtual' religion, and whilst it is bias it digs deep in to the subject.

The Drop 6/10

It was alright. Didn't get the hype and moved far too slowly. Didn't really relate to any of the characters. I was kinda wishing the last half hour away. Do like Hardy and Gandolfini.

Stranger by the Lake (2013)

French drama/thriller

Graphic gay sex scenes, by the way

The film contained unsimulated sex, which was filmed using body doubles.

Enjoyed it, though I was slightly disappointed by the ending.

6/10

Interstellar - More a Titanic style emotional story than anything especially profound. Enjoyed the final hour and a half having been quite underwhelmed beforehand. Ended up liking it. Very good performance by McConnaughey and the score was great. 9-10 based on a great third act.

Gone Girl - Interesting idea, but found Affleck quite boring and some of the media stuff a little obvious in that Hunger Games way that a book aimed for teenagers would have done it. Thought the female roles were pretty strong and well cast. 7-10.

Have you ever seen Sin Nombre Pet? A similar film and equally as good/depressing as The Golden Dream.

Never had any desire to see any 'Saw' films but caught the second half of one, 'Saw 5' I think a couple of weeks ago. Plotlessy poor gore drivel but can see some novelty in the tests/challenges/traps.

Anyway. Err saw 'Saw: The Final Chapter' on 5* after some live Celeb BB so why not?

Remember Durham stating what a big fan he was of the series and not hard to see why. Its pretty shite and once you've seen someone cut by a circular saw you've seen someone cut by a circular saw, but non-offensive really.

Give me Tobe Hooper's fantastic 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre' anyday. Less gore, more suspense and glorious. Will score fully after.

And welcome home, Lucky. :)
