Anyone got Virgin Media 'Vivid'?

Current download speed is 152 Mbps, but the new hub gives you 200. Have seen a few reports which says it has problems, so wondered if any on here knows owt.

If you can find a server that will feed you faster than 152Mbps it might be worth it if you're downloading huge (really huge) files, for general surfing and streaming there's really no need.

Yeah, thanks, that is what I thought, and bearing that in mind, don't think it's worth changing.

Are you into that real-time VR ref porn where you can adjudicate 12 matches at once while having your testicles zapped if you get a decision wrong?

Some good deals out there at the moment, I've just found out that we are now able to get fibreoptic - so I rang up sky and asked them what they would offer me to keep me as a customer. The've given me unlimited fibreoptic, new hub - no set up fees for £10 amonth - that's a fiver less than I'm paying now.

Yeah that's right. I installed a download meter years ago and when a file is downloading at top speed it shows as a solid red bar, but most sites serve you the file at a much slower speed.

I must say, I thought I would get lightning quick internet, but I haven't noticed any real difference from going from 3 mb/s to nearly 30mb/s with the exception of watching streamed TV shows - no buffering.

If I were paying more than I was, I'd be a bit pissed off about "upgrading"

Regularly get 100mb speed off peak on wireless devices, 60mb at peak time.

Never would consider ADSL shite like Sky, BT, Talk Talk etc.

I have Talktalk, get uninterrupted 20mb all day everyday, with that I can download a 1.4 gig film in about 15 mins or watch Netflix/you view/now tv over three devices with no buffering, shite, I don't think so?
