Exactly why I'm looking into it.
Seems pretty straightforward but was wondering if anyone had any experience

Not used one myself but some people reckon there are apps out there that can be loaded onto a stick to provide free access to many channels. Look up something like Kodi but the risk is that Apple like sky and the others will always be looking for ways to restrict unpaid access.

Hmm.
Good point, I mean I'd expect to pay for prime and netflix but anything else I guess is out there anyway.

I know one person who has got it and they rate it very highly. Suppose it depends on what you want to watch, but £30 odd isn't a lot, though of course you can just stream everything free with attending sometimes annoyances as I do, but could be tempted to buy it

And sure it has Netflix on it, as watched it there.

Got one for Xmas, it's a powerful little dude.

Loaded Kodi + add-ons (quite straight forward); it accesses my NAS reliably where it can stream HD easily, if you have Amazon Prime there are lots of other offerings too.

As far as the add-ons and free content, they come and go it's the nature of the beast but I try and download films to view later rather than rely on streams (old habit) but there are plenty of reliable streams to chose from and that includes sports streams for EPL on Saturdays.

Oh and btw you don't need an Amazon stick to download Kodi (+ addons) etc you can set it up on any platform and see what it's about.

I don't have one but am going to invest in one as my cousin swears by them.

You can buy one for about thirty quid apparently.

But he says buy a "fully loaded" one for around fifty.

Download the KODI app and you need never give Mr. Murdovh another halfpenny to watch the football :)
Alex Young, Howard Kendall, Andy King, Timmy Cahill, Dixie Dean and Mike Parry.....we'll never see the likes of them again.

Don't waste your money on the 'fully loaded' Firestick.

You can install Kodi yourself in about 15 mins. Plenty of online tutorials on how to do it.

Have a look at the ARES wizard/addon, it gives access to the best Kodi builds without having to do any of the work.

I don't get it, don't most TVs and blu rays have all these apps built in anyway?

I think Samsung have a TV app that allows IPTV but it's the add-ons for Kodi that allow P2P sharing and streaming.

There's where you've lost me.

All the things like netflix bbc i player etc are already available.

If I want to watch putlocker or beetv etc I have to plug in my laptop - so what does a fire stick actually give you.

I'm not arguing, I genuinely want to know, I've got fibreoptic broadband, so I'm at a loss as to what this stick is any use for. If it's going to give me something better then I'll buy one.

The fire stick can be hacked to allow other apps to be loaded onto it, once that is done you can then use said apps to access anything on sky for nothing including all sports, adult channels, movies and box sets, it can also live stream movies from sites that upload the latest releases so you can watch current cinema releases in various quality depending on what's available, all this is left plugged into your TV and can all be browsed and accessed via your remote, you can do this yourself but for the extra £20 you can buy them ready done, if you do this you'll usually find the porn is disabled, unless you're a sick fuck normal porn can turned on with a code...

Indeed...I bought an AFS because it can run Kodi (with it's addons) that is the principle hack and that offers access to the latest films (to copy or stream in full HD) , live TV, sport (3.00pm EPL), TV series (past and present) and a lot lot more. The AFS is just another android device so can still be laoded with apps like Showbox and Mobdro.

If your still not sure load Kodi onto your laptop and have a good play with it's add-ons (Exodus or SALTS). If you then like the idea of more convenient permanent access to Kodi instead of booting up and having to plug in the laptop every time then the AFS might be for you, the other stuff as you say you probably already have access to.

OK I'm downloading Kodi now and have a play with it.

Does this replace sites like Putlocker? We like watching "The middle" on there with the kids, but even with Fibre the buffering is terrible even if you can get the thing to load up at all.

I've downloaded Kodi, but I don't seem to be able to find an add ons where I can watch exactly what I want. Any ideas?

You have to install the add-ons into Kodi like any new software, try these instructions for loading Exodus and other addons...

https://seo-michael.co.uk/how-to-instal ... -for-kodi/

If it's a struggle install ARES and choose a custom build or use it's AO installer...these are Kodi builds done by individuals with custom Kodi layout and all the add-ons included to save you the bother.

It'll give you far more options, add-ons like Exodus or SALTS "scrape" content sites like Putlocker and many many others so basically act like content provider search engines which you can then either choose to stream or download from. I've looked for your program through Exodus and it's all there in HD (via Putlocker and many other content providers) and seems to stream okay with me on standard broadband, I do have a decent modem router though.

Don't know why you have buffering issues but you can now download the episodes directly to obviously eliminate that problem, try connecting your laptop directly to the modem to see if the buffering could be a wireless issue. If you have a BT homehub 5 sometimes the dual band causes problems with certain devices so you have to deselect one of the frequencies (2.4 or 5.0ghz).

Cheers for all your help - I've had a go at that since I spoke to you and got hold of "the beast" build - but the fucker wouldn't play anything.

I've tried exodus and that's working beautifully.

What a quality app that is, I'll be getting a firestick for sure now - is it worth buying a preloaded one or is it quite easy to do it yourself?

If you can install AO's on Kodi you should be able to do it for a Firestick.

Try the Pulse-Lite build on your laptop, less bloated with stuff but works okay.

Ares Wizard>All Builds>Pulse>Pulse-Lite.
