Brilliant game, v similar to FC3 but a bit slicker.
Another genuinely sinister villain, too.

How can a video game have a "genuinely sinister villain"?subsub wrote:Brilliant game, v similar to FC3 but a bit slicker.

I suggest you play something like Silent Hill 4 or Alien Isolation with the lights out and then tell me the hairs on the back of your neck don't stand up when something scary happens.

I was making a genuine enquiry as I don't play games like that. No need for the roll of the eyes.subsub wrote:gheko wrote:How can a video game have a "genuinely sinister villain"?subsub wrote:Brilliant game, v similar to FC3 but a bit slicker.

TBH I struggle with the controls! Everytime I try and play a first person shooter type game It ends in disaster. Maybe more practise would be beneficial, but they don'y really float my boat.subsub wrote:You should, then you'd understand where I'm coming from.gheko wrote:I don't play games like that.

If you don't want 100mph stuff (Call of Duty is absurd at times, how much is going on, how quickly you die etc), then give The Last Of Us a try. It's an exceptionally good story, apart from anything else, and while there are full-on action bits, there are more thoughtful phases, and sections where you have to think through your route, rather than just blazing in and shooting on sight.gheko wrote:TBH I struggle with the controls! Re: Far Cry 4
I had it on PS3 but set it to "normal"... I'm thinking about getting the 1080p/60fps version on PS4 and putting it on the hardest mode, without the radar shit. Now that will certainly require a lot of careful planning with the lack of ammo too.subsub wrote:If you don't want 100mph stuff (Call of Duty is absurd at times, how much is going on, how quickly you die etc), then give The Last Of Us a try. Nothing beats Wizball on the C64 (Elite is a close second); The music alone is fucking amazing:
Fred Kite: I've got to be off. I can't stay here arguing. I've got a lot to do. Report to the Executive, check up on the pickets.
Mrs. Kite: From what I can see, the only time you ever jolly well *do* any work is when you're on strike.
