DAB radio coverage

Post by m4 colin »

How is DAB coverage these days ? I had a DAB radio several years ago but there were parts of the country with huge areas of no signal. I'd like to listen to radio 4 extra on dab in my truck, is it worth a go now ? or is it still shite with blackout areas all over the place ?
I heard gods fast but I'd have to go up against him before I believe it

I travel all over every week and find its fine everywhere I go, some odd blips here and there but never for longer than 30 seconds.

The only place I don't get it is when I go in a multi storey car park.
It seems fine everywhere I drive.

It's bloody awful in my house as well. I got better reception when listening to Radio Luxembourg on a tiny transistor radio when I was but a lad.

It's also terrible at my work but the fm reception is fine.

dab isn't all it's cracked up to be, despite the number of stations available. No point in all the stations if you can't listen to them.

I was told dab was immediately obsolete ten years ago but still haven't seen the alternative. It's ok. Internet radio is total shit, tune inn is a cunt, 75% of the uk has fuck all signal STILL yet ppi calls find their way through every ten seconds. WHAT A JOKE! !!!!!

I actually got quite a distance driving through France and IIRC a part of Spain where I could still pick up Talksport on AM, no sure if that was a benefit of AM or not.
