Re: Alien: Isolation
Pre-ordered it last night after reading the PC reviews.
Sitting on my PC ready to go, won't be playable until Tuesday though.
If you're thinking of buying it you can get it for 20% less using Greenmangaming.com
Good site, i've used them before.

Re: Alien: Isolation
Obvious same-old-shit to me.
Play 'Flower'. Few years old now...(2009). It's beautiful. You play the wind and blow petals across a landscape and as you blow the petals they seed and new flowers grow. Why all the f*cking anger?

Fred Kite: I've got to be off. I can't stay here arguing. I've got a lot to do. Report to the Executive, check up on the pickets.
Mrs. Kite: From what I can see, the only time you ever jolly well *do* any work is when you're on strike.

But the whole point is that this Alien game ISN'T the same old thing. In previous Alien games, you just blew the shit out of everything - this one is more about stealth and survival.

Played it for an hour or so yesterday.
Not a xenomorph in sight, but still plenty of shit-scary moments, like when there's a big crash and the lights suddenly go out for no reason at all...

Looks a bit boring TBH. I'll pick it up pre-owned when cheaper but remind me a lot of Outlast. Bit meh all in all.

Re: Alien: Isolation
About one-third of the way through it.
The game is brilliantly done, but the dearth of save points is a real pain in the arse.
Some sections take ages to get right, and one false move and you're back to the start again, which just gets irritating.
Credit to the developers, though, for creating such a tense atmosphere.

Re: Alien: Isolation
Two levels to go.
Fucking hard game - the sense of achievement when you reach a save point is unbelievable!
Is great, but not the sort of game you would EVER go through a second time - will trade in for Far Cry 4.
