Tapatalk. any good?

Post by Tind »

I've always been one to drag my feet when it comes to technology. I've had this smart phone for a while and still not up to date on what I can do. Earlier I tried to get get on Talkforum on the phone and this Tapatalk popped up to either 'Open in app' or 'Install'. Does anyone use Tapatalk? Is it any good?

Peace and Love

I know a few people on the forum use it. Apparently it makes it easier to browse forums on your phone.

I use it and it does make it a lot easier to browse the forum on your phone. Unfortunately I often get the "Cannot connect to forum. Contact the forum administrator..." thing a lot but I think that's down to the shitty Orange network signals.

Thank you. So far 1 person has said it's rubbish. Not very scientific, however based on your comments I'm going to give it a go. It's difficult to get in front of a laptop outside of working hours due to kiddie power and duties. The only problem is on a phone it's slower to type and I might struggle with my green text sometimes. I'll see how I get on. :D

As long as your signal's okay there shouldn't be any problems with it, Tind. I often use it when I connect my phone to my wi-fi at home and it's been fine.

I use it on my phone. Best thing about it is when you go to a thread it automatically takes you to the last post you read.

Did you make mankind after we made you?

And the back button on android works very well - it takes you to the right place unlike the web version which is painful. If only poles/poals worked and of course search but hey as per old dear friends dat ain't da fault o' de t'apawanks

Its a right pain in the arse to maintain. They're always sending emails reminding of software upgrades.

Its quite popular with about 40 regular users at the last count.

Why do people use tapatalk?

I installed it on the tablet, found it to be pointless really. No way as easy as just using tabbed browsing. Deleted.

So what are the advantages I missed?

I got all kinds of shit for raising this before, and I'm still none the wiser,

Seems like a completely pointless piece of shit that empowers you to… er… not be able to see and read things properly. :?

This thread could have ended with a simple 'No'.
