But it does show you need something to play for or defend to bring out the best. This is why so many players just can't do it and the likes of MVG are constantly playing well defending titles.

5 of the 8 sets went to a deciding leg, 18-17 to Ando in total legs. 33x 180s. Last year's World Championship final holds the record at 34 - in a 12-set match.
