Michael O'Neill

Post by kevin04 »

A top, top man.

A solid 4-0 win last night for Northern Ireland against a very decent and improving side - unbeaten until last night and will challenge Czech Republic for third, IMO.

Great coach and top, top guy too.

Rossy, what do you think about an anthem change though? Plenty of nice songs to choose from.

He's doing a fantastic job for Northern Ireland . He seems quite a modest , down to Earth bloke too .

It's great to see them doing so well and long may it continue .

From an English point of view , i wish we had a manager who could make the absolute best of the talent he has at his disposal , as Michael O'Neill does very , very well .

For what it's worth , i also believe the Norn's should have an anthem that represents the country as a whole as the Welsh and the Scots have . When i hear the Taffs belting out Land of my Fathers at the rugby , it gives me goosebumps .
Barman : "What will it be , Sir ?"

Customer : "I'll have a pint of remoaner tears please"

Barman : "Sorry Sir , we're out of bitter"

Yeah I am for a change.

Never was into God save the Queen tbh. Still not. Numbers of reasons

But the age old thing is what tune...because TBH most Catholics here cheer for the Rep anyhow. So what to pick but not win over any new fans but not upset the fans who have stayed.....see the problem there.

Here are two of the top of my head...would they work...nope but I like them and they work for me :)

There is some talk linking him to the Scotland job if Wee Gordon is fired.
Alex Young, Howard Kendall, Andy King, Timmy Cahill, Dixie Dean and Mike Parry.....we'll never see the likes of them again.

I'd take him for the job in a heartbeat, but he would be stupid to leave the Northern Irish job and I don't k now if he would fancy it anyway. They are looking good for a playoff spot - Norway as pish as Scotland, and taken a point in Prague. Even if they end up missing out on Russia, he will be in demand and probably would get a EPL job.
