Come on Del, you remind me of an old friend when I was a teenager, Hagie.
Whenever we were having a kick about on the local council pitches he would often, if not always, do something stupid like slice the ball with an errant toepoke so that it would go at 90° from his foot into a game three pitches away and just before we badly beat him and sent him to fetch it he would gaze admiringly at its nearly orbital trajectory and say as if to himself but deliberately just loud enough for everyone to hear, "Yess, thats exactly where I wanted it."
Or if he was in nets and with much agitation and girly flapping of his chocolate wrists would fail to keep out some barely powered and frankly pathetic daisy cutter (that would be one of mine), he would pick the ball out of the net and turn round with a fake look of earnestness on his face and pronounce, "I let that one in to make the game more interesting." Then get badly beaten again.

Del, I know you like to create some drama in this here bailiwick and bring prominence to yourself which is OK within reason but your latest stunt is frankly risible. There are many alternative ways to achieve this here and let's be honest, no one would generally care but in this instance, you've badly misunderstood the implications of your latest ruse.

You were either acting on impulse the other night and may have been on the lash so weren't thinking clearly or you knew fully what you were doing but thought you could reverse your actions. If it was the former, you need to take a seriously long sabbatical to contemplate your actions. If it was the latter, it's a heinous act where you seemingly contemplated supported the arch rivals.

Either way, your actions are at best hopelessly naive and misguided and at worst, treacherous and deceitful to both countries. I can no longer find it in my heart to respond to any more posts and urge my fellow posters to shun you. I'm disgusted and feel violated.
