This time Cambridge

Post by henrycrs »

It'll soon be Saturday, the big L2 campaign for the U's starts at home to Barnet

Shaun Derry has recruited well during the summer, optimism is high on the terraces (when isn't it Image)

Can SD lead us to the promised land? Will Big Barry Corr return to fitness and top the scoring charts for a team playing free flowing attaching football? Will the Habbin Stand bar actually be open for a half time ale?

Or will we be shit, all huff and puff and limp to a 14th place finish, and be limited to burnt pasties and bottles of Diet Coke Image

If you're going to lump on (with Lash) 17s are still available

From what I've heard, SD is regarded as a very promising young manager.

In fact some wish he would make a return to Selhurst one day.

He was a Palace ledge - very popular and gave everything on the pitch.

BTW Derry was at our friendly at Bromley, probably looking at some of our young players with an eye to a loan or two.

Probably full backs, but I see one of your youngsters has signed for the boro

How's Kwesi getting on now? Always liked him but KaiKai had more long term potential

Kwesi''s doing OK.

Kaikai could make the 25-man squad this year, depending on what happens with transfers this month.

He's looked good in the pre-season friendlies - would like to see him get his chance in the first team this season.

Talking of the ledge Shaun Derry, he turned out for the fans' team and gave them a blocking at half time. :)

I remember Cambridge in the late 80s early 90s. Fucking awesome.

Definitely keen, Henry, but may have to be later in the year or early next as Saturdays a bit tight at the moment. Will have a scan through the fixtures later. Up the U's. :)

Up the U's. :) 2-1 win v Boro U23s. :( Shame was working, Henry as we could have boosted the numbers: :) http://www.gazettelive.co.uk/sport/foot ... e-11978448
Record attendance at Boro game
Cambridge have recorded an all time low crowd for a senior game tonight for the Checkatrade Trophy tie with Boro.
It’s 693 including 27 Boro fans. The previous low was 857 recorded in 1987.

What a shit season. Every performance like the last, mainly the inept tactics and toothless forward play

SDIAC isn't what I'd want to have said, but:

And when your front line is in such a rich vein of form, you're fucked
