Favourable group but professionally dealt with, good game last night, should've been more than 2-1.

The fanbase are quite divided at the moment- plenty are so pleased we're in this competition, we've won every home game, we're through and are still enjoying the novelty of the Champions League. Others are almost throwing toys out of prams because we lost a couple of league games, have been given an easy group and we've not won every match 5-0 and would rather we went out to focus on the league!

In time they'll regret it because we won't be in it again soon so make the most of it, we'll have plenty of crap league seasons again.

Useless/interesting stat of the night via BT Sport: Messi has scored or assisted once every 30mins so far in the CL.
Fred Kite: I've got to be off. I can't stay here arguing. I've got a lot to do. Report to the Executive, check up on the pickets.

UEFA wanted to see if the win could boost the attendance by a few dozen in their next match.

Job done.
That ref is something special. I've seen him a few times and he's always awful.

Mods- Once the group stage is over can we lock this thread and have two separate ones for the CL and the whatyamacallit league? It's unedifying having to mix with the oiks. Thanks in advance.

Feyenoord do what they do best away from De Kuip = Get thrashed.

In England especially, Feyenoord always lose and make opposition look very special

Think I'll stick this here as European Cup related. Chatting to a fella at work who has read Cruyff's posthumous book. My talk of the fags and adidas/Puma dispute from memory and tour of the Arena, he mentioned the pig farming cash debacle and other chancers after his coin and some stuff about young Jordi. So why not go back to watch a few videos? Why not indeed. Bewtiful scenes and applause after death and bewtiful scenes on the turf.

Saw this linked up, never seen, Mike. Cruyff turn by Eulogio Martínez for Barca v the err Wolves in the European Cup 1960 way before the Dutch master did it:

phpBB [video]

Also, note Kocsic scoring. 1.103 goals per game average for Hungary, another genuis of the Magnificent Magyars alongside my greatest alongside Garrincha*, the legend Ferenc. 8)

*And why not? My favourite Garrincha video. Note after being hacked, always gets up and tries to get the ball back. Note also, a legendary drinker, womaniser and socalled goat fucker, plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose. His biography is great: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Garrincha-Triu ... 0224092197
"Passionate, fascinating and surprisingly moving... a worthy tribute... According to Gazza, Gascoigne has limited interest in books. He should be persuaded to make an exception for Garrincha. He would learn more about himself than by reading his own autobiography" (Guardian)

Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's Maybelline.

Southampton have let their country down and should hold their heads in shame. :( . Inter had a shocker in their group.
They should reinstate the Inter-Toto Cup where the losers in the Europa League groups are forced to play next Spring.
That will really piss off the Talksport Tossers that worship the Premiership Whore.

The League Cup which you have in England should be scrapped so the fa cup can start earlier to allow for a winter break which would in turn help English teams in the Champions League and Europa Cup
