You copied it like everyone else who was in awe of what Cruyff did. It's not like you had to genius to innovated it like the Dutch master did. There is a difference. And you probably fell over your feet two thousand times before, which is something you omitted to tell us.

I was a decent player, tried it during a game, made an absolute prawn of myself ,took a lot of stick and thought that I would just leave that to the genius that is Johann Cruyff.
Don't forget Misty once you have done the turn you still have to be in full control of the ball to go on from there.
Easy yeah outwith a game and no players tackling you

It's not difficult, my mate's eight year old does it all the time.

The ‘Cruyff Turn’; how many other footballers have produced something named for them. That’s posterity.

A great footballer and one of the greatest ever. Passionate football fan and by all accounts was humble. Didn't need to resort to engaging in sordid behaviour in seedy clubs such as studio 54 with men of very ill repute nor did he ever steal money from a children's charity or pranced around the world as some sort of self publicity machine for greed and hubris and being a lapdog puppet poodle ambassador the corrupt powers. Nor did he need to engage in other lewd behaviour

A great man, full of dignity and honour and humility and it's people like the great Johann Cruyff that represent football and definately not the Jimmy Saville types

Rest in peace Johann Cruyff

Don't think so. :)

Fantastic player, but had an ego the size of Big Al's heid.

Humble origins, mind. I think his mum was one of the cleaners at Ajax.

That Ajax side was like the Lisbon Lions Celtic side - virtually all of them were born and rises in the proximity of the club.

A great player who always seemed to have total control of the football. He's in that elite group of players like messi, pele , zidane who helped elevate the game to another level.

This is true. He made Louis Van Gaal seem like Chris Powell.

Below is a video of the late Johan Cruyff playing for Feyenoord in 1983/1984 at the age of 36

phpBB [video]

His first touch and technique was extraordinary but the bit i really really liked was the long range outside of his weak foot (left foot) pass he makes around 2:24 into the video - AMAZING!
