Disappointed to learn about Rosberg's retirement. Always seemed liked a decent guy.

Good luck to him.

By retiring now Rosberg will always be a Champion and never an also ran or more importantly a victim.

Only the third occasion in F1 history a reigning champ has not been on the grid to defend his crown. Completely different circumstances on this occasion as the previous two drivers had been killed before the new season began. Mike Hawthorn 1958 and Jochen Rindt 1970.

Rosberg got lucky and he knew it.He knows perfectly well he would struggle to retain his title, as the rule changes and technical development will help Ferrari and Red Bull close the gap To Mercedes
Because He isn't a natural racer, the prospect obviously frightens him to death!! I will say though, he is very good technically.

You really could train a monkey to drive an F1 car I'm certain of it. I saw an interview with Max Ver Strap-On when he said he just spent years playing the tracks on a simulator. I think all of us here have probably dabbled in racing games on various consoles over the years. I do believe modern F1 drivers just plonk themselves into the car and their brain just thinks it's a simulation.

I'll watch F1, it's alright. But I only watch it to pass the time or look at the scenery. It's just a commercial break that lasts two hours with the tantalising prospect of a death.

'They' talk about how to liven it up, they talk about tyres and wings and down-force etc. I say: take the helmets away from drivers. Then we'll see who the fuck can drive.
