If so, the pair of them might be able to "find" some decent players.

I was trying to be discreet, but I know you prefer to speak bluntly up north.

At last, but whether it's going to a from the frying pan into the fire situation remains to be seen. Now means that all major WM clubs are operating under Chinese owners.

One thing I didn't know or notice is that the fixture Forest v Burton on the opening day is the Trent Derby.

Good point. The clubs are in different counties, but would Derby County and Burton be a local derby?ccreds wrote:One thing I didn't know or notice is that the fixture Forest v Burton on the opening day is the Trent Derby.

Yes, Derby treated them as the nice local non-league team who'd they play in friendlies. Now they are above them in the table and beat them last week.

For us we'd have O' Neil or Morgan Trophy. Not the Alan Rogers trophy though.JW90 wrote:It was the Nigel Clough Trophy too?

Must admit I'm feeling more optimistic than I have for several seasons. Good start to the season (great comeback from 1-0 down today), the takeover a month away, and hopefully a few bob for Gary Rowett to spend.

Rowett is doing a sterling job. He's always had something about him as a manager.
Delighted with Leeds today. Monk is doing some good things and the fans love him. Pontus Jansson already emerging as one of the signings of the season. Far too good for the Championship.

Newcastle undone at home to Wolves today. Means we're going to get shafted next Saturday evening at home.

Re: The Championship 2015/6
Four wins out of four now for Leeds. First consecutive four wins since 2010. We dominated what is usually a very well drilled and physical Ipswich side. Mick McCarthy said as much post-match.
Garry Monk is very impressive. Has a proper plan and buys players to suit it rather than cramming square pegs into round holes.

Great win for Leeds at Wolves after a week of dropped points against Derby and Wigan. Also good to see Kemar Roofe off the mark at last.
Burton at home next before Norwich and Newcastle. Tough games.

Re: The Championship 2015/6
The build up is underway for the Birmingham derby on Sunday, and the press are stirring he shit up nicely. Whilst Bruce didn't say that Villa are a bigger club than Birmingham, and of course they are in most respects, that's the slant.
I'm hoping for a good game and of course a win for Blues, but I think Villa are in better form at the moment and I make them favourites.

Tony Incenzo's plan for QPR to take a place in the top six clubs in the country hitting a slight delay at the moment.

Super Gary Monk, Zippo. Looking good and on a great run of form at present, up to 9th.
