I think PSV won it in the 80s as well. Those were the days when great provincial teams could be built and allowed to flourish. Almost impossible to do now although Dortmund had a good go a couple of years ago.

I would love to travel around Europe with Forest visiting places like Amsterdam, Cologne etc.
To do what Forest had done then and if that was done nowadays (coming up from the second divsion, winning the first division, then winning the European cup) it would be seen as taking the you know what .

About time Leeds made a go of it.

Happy with that fee. Wood is a limited player, an excellent finisher so he needs the right service. For a tall man he has little aerial presence but give him a chance and he should put it away.

He was always down the pecking order with us. He doesn't dictate games like Vardy, or have the link-up play of Nugent, Ulloa is a better version of Wood. The Championship is probably his level.

For the Championship he's exactly what we need by all accounts. Leeds have a lot of good midfielders but hardly any strikers. Hopefully he'll know where the net is next season.

Some good young lads too, like Lewis Cook and Sam Byram who have been tipped up to play for England one day by fellow Leeds fan Fattmaude.

On the pre season front Forest win at Stevenage 3-0 last Friday, managed by former player Teddy Sheringham.
