I don't know about that, Rupe.

But I can't see us losing this game.

A draw at least.

Think of Barbarossa, Sub.

The Ukraine is the next objective on the road to Tbilisi :)

Basel beat Chelsea home and away in the CL last year, too, so Everton are officially better than Chelsea

Sub......have a word with yourself.

You made a remark about Basle which was hung around your neck by ol' Pet :P

Just laff it off pal instead of digging yourself in deeper.

And you have the last laff today anyway as the last I looked you were in an all but unassailabke position in the Quiz on this here last day if the month :)

Except that you're using a league game to try to make a point about European football, which doesn't really work. And, like it or not, despite your criticism of the mighty Reds, you would give your eye teeth for our European record, and you know it, boy

But here, take this :box:

well you mentioned Basle first, Sub......not me.

And who knows what Everton's European record might look like now if the finest team we have ever had had been allowed to take its place in the European Cup in 1985.

You know the reason we weren't allowed.

So be in absolutely no doubt, I would not give the cuttings of one fingernail to have Liverpool's European record, never mind my eyeteeth :P

I also mentioned Real Madrid, but you conveniently chose to ignore that one...

I note that all this talk of an 'assault' on the league has quietly been forgotten about, as Everton conquer the might of FK Krasnodar and Lille

Believe it or not, I'd much rather Everton struggle out of the relegation mire than hand Arsenal yet another undeserved CL place...

Arsenal in the European Cup is like me at my Uni graduation.

Felt utterly pointless, embarrassed to be there and was glad when it was all over

How so ? Didn't we gain enough points over the season to qualify ? Or maybe you'd like UEFA to change the rules so Arsenal can't enter the competition. After all, it wouldn't be the first time Liverpool fans have had an influence on whether English sides can take part in European games.
