It's a team that has Blind vs Smalling for first choice centre half, and Fellaini starting in midfield. Van Gaal cleared a load of dead wood and replaced them with a load more and it will take more than one summer and a positive attitude to sort that out.

I would imagine he knows roughly what next year's squad will look like already and it involves a few more changes. In the meantime the football is better and the attitude is right. No complaints here.
